there is an option for second rinse on/off. WHat does that do? does it make a difference? I use regular powder detergent to wash my clothes.

it is a large load. i don't think it's too dirty. i only wear clothing once and i don't play in the mud. I use cold water. I use like regular detergent, that's not soap right?

It depends...if the 1 rinse is adequate and the water is soft, you're likely ok. 2 rinses is better to get soap out tho, esp. if you have allergies or reactions to the soaps.

I would use it only if you had a particularly large load or the clothing was very dirty. I first rinse should be adequate. Adding a second rinse seems like a waste of water.

Peace.

If you have a baby, or if you have skin allergies it's often good to use a 2nd rinse to ensure all the soap/detergent is removed.

If you feel there is soap buildup in a particular load use the 2nd rinse.
