We're buying a house very soon, and although the carpets should be replaced we dont want to spend that much on a new carpet right now. (carpets are in good condition just have stains and path marks) What I want to know is should we spend the money to have a professional service come in, should we rent a unit from a local company (u-haul has a carpet cleaner rental for $20 a day does anyone have any positive/negitive feedback on going that way) Or should we buy a Hoover SteamVac (they rated the highest in consumer reviews) or another home use model. We have at least 600 square feet to clean and are on a budget, and have two toddlers running around spilling all the time...

The inside of the purse has a soft suede-like finish. I don't want to ruin it with a liquid cleaner, so I am hoping for other options.

I just bought a winter coat, and while reading the care instructions it said to :

Tumble dry low in large capacity dryer
with tennis balls
I was wondering if anyone has ever heard of this before?????
I don't know if it would matter.....maybe??????
The jacket is:

Shell: 100% Polyster
Lining 100% Polyster
Fir Trim 100% Acrylic
Filler 50% Down

In the removable hood: ( Would not be put in the dryer)
32 % Feather
12% Feather Fiber
6% Land Foul Feather

The jacket is an American Rag----Brand

Thanks :)

My room mate recently spilled some vodka on the carpet and we were wondering what could be used to get rid of the smell. We used some air freshener but we believe that is only temporary. Thanks in advance.
