Floor cleaning and stripping

Go to an equipment rental store and rent a floor buffer and use soap and hot water if it's a wax. Tell the rental agent what your doing so he'll give you a cleaning pad and not a waxing pad.

If it's some kind of clear coat paint or something like that you'll have to use some kind of stripping agent along with the floor buffer.

You can use bleach but a stripping agent works better. Bleach is a corrosive and will eat away at the gloss but it will take a very long time and you have to use it almost full strength.

I'm pretty certain you are going to have to use a stripper.
