Never bought one. Wondering what brand works good and has longevity I want it to last. and I don't want to have to fiddle with it and do tons of maintenance to keep it working. Want a bagless and I hear they have beltless now. Any thoughts and opinions. Want an attractive one but I hear the Dyson is powerful.

It honestly depends on how much you want to spend on the Vacuum.. Dyson, Bissell, And Electrolux all make wonderfull vacuums in their respective price ranges. however they are all different. My advice would be to go to several stores and try demos. You not only want a powerfull vacuum but one that works well for you

Oreck is the best I have ever used. Even when it got clogged it was easy to unclog by myself. A book and customer service line is helpful. This is a lightweight ,clean, and powerful vacumn. Worth the price all the way around. I could go on....
