I've heard of soaking them in a tub of water and tide. It seemed to work, but they were not 100% clean.

For lunch the other day I had left over rice (mix of veggies and chicken). I had it in a plastic container and didnt finish the rest. I mustve had a busy day and didnt empty in the trash or wash it out. The next day doing the dishes I opened it and it smells HORRIBLE! So I emptied the rice in the garbage. And tried letting the container soak. That didn't work. I ended up throwing the conatiner out anyways bc the top was cracked. I didnt throw out the garbage right away. Now my pantry smells the worst! I took out the garbage and we sprayed febreeze and a can of frangrance spray. Nothing is helping. Its like a burning smell! I put a smelly thing that you get for your bathroom in the pantry. But now it has a weird mix of a smell. Anything advice would be so GREATFULL!
Thanks!

I bought some hat boxes and the price stickers are on the bottom and will not come off. I'm afraid to use goo-gone and other products since it's a hat box. Any suggestions that won't ruin the boxes?

Ok this is insane. After 29 years of doing laundry, I have never had a top loading washing machine "eat" my shirt. It is wrapped around the little thing that sticks up in the middle. I don't even know how to describe it, it is so crazy. I can't figure out if I'm able to take the pole thing in the middle out. I can't figure out which way it is twisted..I am going crazy...It was a brand new Ralph Lauren shirt *cries* helpp!

I have an older home and the kitchen has 12 x 12 tiles. On the tiles there are stains that almost look like someone took a rope and rolled it all over the floor. I have tried bleach but that did not work. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

My 10 year old Dirt Devil finally died on me and I am shopping around for a new vacuum cleaner. Does anyone know a good, high quality, strong suction vacuum cleaner out there? I have been thinking about Dyson Animal, since I have 2 dogs in the house.
Does anyone know if this is a good kind to buy? Or would you recommend something else? Also, if you have a Dyson, how is it working out for you? Is it as great as they say it is?
Any advice is appreciated! thank you. dana

We just moved to find the kitchen floor really dirty. I've tried a steam cleaner with no luck. Do you have any suggestions to get the dirt out of the floor cracks? I do have a dog, we don't want anything to poisonous.

I recently inherited a hanging lamp that is somewhere between the 50's and 70's era. The people I inherited it from were heavy smokers for years, and as a result, the lamp is coated in nicotine. I'm not sure what I can use on it that won't damage the paint on it. It is kind of iridescent with hand painted roses on it
