55th birthday is the beginning of old age.
55 to 65 is "early old age."
65 to 75 is "old age."
75 plus is "advanced old age."

In studies of aging, participants are typically 60 years of age or older, although sometimes the lower limit can be 65 or even 70 years of age. Because the population is aging faster now than ever before, our concept of "old age" is changing quickly too. It is also important to realize that not everyone ages at the same rate. Some 60 year olds are really "old" and others are "younger" than many 50 year olds. There are biological markers of aging, but people reach those markers at different ages.

Yeah, when you post a question like this into cleaning and laundry category - yeah, that's old.
The concept of old is all in comparison. 56 compared to 23 is old, but 56 compared to 93 is young.
I guess you can use the retirememnt age as a guideline. Another one you can use is life expectancy. Divide that number by 3. If you're in the last third - you're old.

When I was 15 yrs., I thought 30 was ancient. As I neared 25, 30 didn't seem so ancient anymore. I thought then that 60 was old. But now that I'm 50 yrs. young...
Instead of thinking of age in terms of "old", think of it more as being more experienced!

Ask several children how old is old -you will get all kinds of answers depending on the age; ME? some think I am old.I think old is much older; I am 69 and I have a friend that is 92. What old is? I say old is in the mind and ability to do what a person is able to do according to the age and years. Ive seen people who are much younger in years and they seem much older than they are in years; clear as mud , HUH????

I think 70+. Cuz I've seen 60-yr.-olds look like their 40 or in their late 30's. I think ur as old as u feel....and look, well kinda. I mean, if u take good care of ur body then u should have good, natural results (w/o all that Botox, plastic surgery, etc.)
