Sounds like our toilet. UGH...it's rust. The only way for us to keep the ring away is to use a water softener...otherwise our water is orange.
Make sure you don't use bleach to clean it. Bleach just makes rust stains worse.

Either your pipes are old in the house and the rust in them is staining the bowl or you have very hard water and it is mineral stains. You could get a water softener if that is the problem or repipe if your pipes are old and corroded. A pumice stone works really good to get the ring out.

It's called rust from hard water. Try some Lime Away or CLR. Leave it in the bowl for 10 - 20 min, then scrub.

impurities in the water. just use a bowl cleaner that you can mount to the bowl or any type of bowl cleaner that you can drop in the tank.. Both will clean with each flush.

it is rost from to hard water i have it too. i tried a whole lot but nothing works so i just clean it every day and hope it doesn't come back too soon.

use some lime away or try vinegar let it sit for a while to dissolve the stain.

Try the Clorox tabs, they work wonders, cost a bit more, but you will see results.

high iron content in your water. it is probibly rust.
