If you were a garden flag and there was very strong winds, where would you be?
Seriously, my garden flag is gone! It came off it's flag stand and no where to be found?
And no, it's not up my b**t.

last night we had a snowstorm and my husband heard sparkling electrical sounds in the basement comingfrom in behind our entertainment unit, he shut the power off to the basement but now we are wondering if water got in behind the wall where the plug is or what happened. How do we approach the situation without getting electricuted?

I believe Robins are very teritorial and will fight to the death - I have at least two, maybe three who turn up in my garden (presumably they have carved it up among themselves).

All my birdfeeders are in one place - is this going to cause conflict?

It has a very strong smell and it is like a long thin dark green leaf and it has a very soft velvety feelign when you rub it between you fingers. I was told it was Thyme but I don't think so becasue Thyme looks different.

I have an oil fired steam furnace. The furnace seems to have its own temperature control now. The thermostat sets to 62 degrees, but the furnace has been maintaining 84 degrees. I know it's not the thermostat because I removed it from the wall and the same thing happens. Anyone have an idea on what's going on?

I've got a window-unit air conditioner running in my room, and really like to have the room cold at all times ( I drop it down to 65-67 at night) because the rest of the house is roasting, and I sleep MUCH better when it is cold. I'm in eastern Texas, and it usually does not drop a couple degrees lower than 32 at night.

I know that a lot of people take the aircon out during winter, but that is not an option, and I would highly prefer to be able to run it, rather than letting it sit immobilized. I recognize it is recommended not to keep it on, but our winters here are very light, so I am curious.

Can I safely do it? Sort of desperate, because there is no other way to cool the room anywhere near 67, and it gets too toasty to sleep comfortably.

Alternatively, I can set it to run on FAN, which circulates air and doesn't cool. Is that safer than running it on COOL? I'd rather it on cool, if possible. Help, please :)

i have a small george forman grill. it doesnt have removable plates. cleaning the thing is a pain!!! I was wondering will I break it if I actually clean it in my sink? as in like having running water on it?

i love the non-stick plates i just hate how it takes to clean it. i would be faster if I could just pick it up and run water over them

I just bought a place, and I have been getting conflicting opinions, from the insurance company specifying that I have to keep it "clear", to the man who did the pre-purchase home inspection saying to leave a couple inches accumulation. Just need a good rule of thumb. I have a roof rake.

I am just wondering if it will clog anything.. I don't really care that the necklace is lost because it wasn't very expensive but I just don't want the necklace to mess up anything. I REALLY don't want to open all the pipes and stuff either, messy job. Notice that this is the whole necklace, it was just a silver chain with a cross..

So is there any harm in leaving the necklace in the drain?

We just recently bought a 90 yr old home. The rooms in the upper floors shake when sanitation or delivery trucks go by and it is disconcerting. We are not sure if we should just chalk it up to the character of the house or call a contractor to check out the foundation. We are also a 15 min walk away from the beach, do water tables play a part in the stability of the home?

my grandad had an extension built and the person that wired in the light has used normal 3 core indoor cable. but he has wired it into the kitchen so it can plug into a socket which meant that the cable goes outside along the wall for 5ft. is this legal, electrically safe etc. normal cable, not boxed in, exposed to elements etc?
