If I leave the heating on during the night. I have tried the "leave a bowl of water on the sideboard" thing and it does not work. Does anybody else get this with gas heating? Thank you.

(I ordered "coarse sand",

but the receipt reads "washed concrete sand".

And, its supposedly going to be delivered soon after they open for business again -- they're closed until then, so I can't very well call to find out.)

This land was once used for growing cotton. It is black soil and when damp VERY sticky. It is very solid soil. How well will this grow peaches?

I have a oil fired boiler with a (wayne) conversion burner (natural gas). It short cycles a lot, but only when the system calls for heat, not when the demand is for hot water. Any ideas?. thanks

My furnace has been working fine for the past years, but this year it has been stopping frequently, about once every 3 or 4 hours. But then all I had to do to make it start up again was to go downstairs or the thermostat and turn the main on/off switch off and then on again. Then it works. What's the problem here, the furnace, or the thermostat? And how can I keep my furnace working full-time?

By the way, the thermostat is a "White Rodgers", and the furnace brand is LUXAIRE, model G8T08012UHA11A

Much thanks : )

that delivery is set for Monday (the 17th), but on the receipt, the "Settl.date" is today/Sunday/the 16th... and the receipt doesn't show *any* scheduled delivery date or time. So I'm wondering:

What is meant by "Settl.date"?
Should I expect delivery today?!?
