Turn the engine off and clear the snow from the blower assembly. Engage the lever before blowing snow to ensure everything turns properly.

If the snow is very wet and heavy the auger and second stage impeller may be creating too much load on the engine. Try going very slowly into the snow and making half or less width cuts.

Could be flooded, or maybe needs new oil, if the gas has been in it for a while it could of gotten a little stale.... Also do you know where the shear pins are for the blades to spin?

The shear pins stop the snowblower from breaking if you hit a chunk of ice or rocks...

What happens is the shear pins keep the blades spinning but when something gets caught in the blades the shear pin breaks stopping the blades from spinning so it doesnt screw the gears up...

Hope this helps

check the auto choke settings. With torque or under a load such as throwing snow, The choke might be engageing, Thus stalling out.

put fresh gas in it, run at half choke till it warms up, maybe replace the plug in it.
also check the breather for mice nests or debris .

it is a good idea to run it at idle a couple times during the summer to prevent this next year.
