I have a 40-year old gas stove that I hate. I want a new stove and would prefer an electric one over gas. Is that possible?

Hi, my les paul's neck is starting to bend because of the tension of the heavy gauge strings I put on it a long time ago (without setting it up first). What is this called: a bent neck? a warped neck? or a twisted neck? BTW, can this be fixed? is this a serious matter?

I've had the same shrew in my garage and siding for the past couple of years. Ideally, I would like to capture and relocate her. Here is what I’ve tried so far:
- Foam gap sealer.
- Copper wool: I used it to plug some holes because they can chew through almost anything else. However, copper wool is not very practical with the access points having since been elongated.
- Garbage: She had gotten into a garbage bag and even after being placed in a garbage can until she could be relocated, she was able to escape.
- Glue Traps: I have been fed up enough on a couple of occasions to use glue traps. She made a powder of the dang foam gap sealer and made the glue trap shrew-safe.
- Automation: I put down a “rat on a trap” toy which jumps and shrieks when triggered by sound or movement. She's not falling for it.
- Humane traps: She’s too small.
- Sonic deterrent: Expensive / not rated for shrews.
- Yelled "BOO!": She laughed at me.

Any suggestions before I go spring-loaded?

Is it true spraying a can of Lysol on bedding works to kill them too? If this is true, then why does Lysol not use this as a selling point?

Our vaccume is only a few months old. It is a Dirt Devil upright bagless. The hose has full suction when removed but when I attach it to the vaccume there is no suction on the floor head. The suction part will turn by hand but not by the force of the vaccume and there is no suction there. What is wrong?

I have a window in my bedroom that once looked outside the house and now with an addition built on, it looks into the added space. I want to know if I can enlarge the rough opening where the window is and turn it into a doorway. Not anything to large but just like a 30" prehung interior type door. I would have to assume that since the window is on a wall that once was an exterior wall the it is a load bearing wall. What problems could this create?

The last ones we got were microfiber and the salesman swore that the material was good for people who have dogs because dog hair would wipe right off. He was wrong. I want to avoid that same mistake. Can anyone tell me the best material for a couch that dog hair does not stick to-other than leather. Thanks.

I'm looking for information on buying solid brass snaps for a leather belt. Also a kit for attaching them. I've seen some on line but I haven't found exactly what I need. Which is bigger a line 24 or line 20 snap and what diameter are they? Any links to sites that sell these would be a big help.

I have a Nutone 665 with Fan, Heater and Light. It is only 3 years old and the heater is not really used that much. It was running and just stopped. No noise, smell or anything.
The light and exauhast fan still work, I am pretty sure they are on the same power line. I checked the fuses, none were tripped.
Is there anything else to check? I can buy a new one for $80, but want to see if this one will work.

My family is re-doing our basement, and we kind of wanted it to have a hollister feel. If you have ever been inside of a hollister clothing store you know what I am refering to, but if you have not it's kind of has a beach vibe to it, but it's not with those bright obnoxious colors. To be honest it's pretty dark. It's a very cozy atmosphere. Any advice on how I could make my basement like this?

On the door panel it says that 240 volt dryers use 2 fuses located in main box & to try to replace or tighten. Are they talking about the electric box outside on the house or is there a fuse box actually in the dryer & if so where is it located? I have been having some blow outs with my christmas lights & don't know if this is causing the dryer problem or if it is just a coincidence. Also, do these dryers have pilots in them that could have possiby blew out & need to be relit? Please help, if you have any suggestions!

Hello,

I own a 3.5hp snowblower that has many problems. One of which is the fact that it is so weak. I live in Canada so we get lots of snow, anyway, anytime we get anything above a moderate snowfall, it is extremely hard to clean the snow. My parents wont allow me to buy a used snowblower as they dont 'trust' used ones. I dont have enough money to buy a new one, so I was wondering is there anyway to modify the snowblower to give it more horsepower and/or torque. I would be willing to invest some money into this upgrade (not too much though).

Thanks
