I have to agree in part, with one answer. I'd be on the phone or in the builders face, LOUDLY demanding a replacement.
It sounds like someone washed hands or tools from tiling and grouting, IN the toilet, and it may not Just wash out.
Certainly being able to SEE it in the bowl is bad enough, but it may also be collected in the wax ring seal, the immediate drain plmbing, or at any junctions, P traps, or angles in the plumbing before the drainage exits the dwelling.
Chipping or scraping at it might damage the bowl or worse.

If it were my toilet I'd be getting the builders to sort the damn thing out. This is terrible. I'd send them a letter and then if they didn't respond I would ring trading standards. They wiill advise you send another letter via recorded delivery explaining that they have 7 days to sort this fine mess out and if they don't sort it that you will get someond else in to sort it out and send the bill to them. This is a legitimate course of action but I would ring trading standards first - they are very helpful and are really trying to do something about cowboys like this. I know from personal experience

No no no. not a big deal. get your toilet brush and plung it up and down in toilet. Grit will be taken away as water is pushed beyond the trap. Flush loo and repeat as necessary.

ask them with a letter to come and replace the toilet, and stop cutting corners.Alternatively while you flush it ,throw a bucket of water down it at the same time. That adds to pressure, that the cistern just has'nt got and pushes down sand and the rest.make sure you soften it with a loo brush before you do the water thing
I been a builder for 20 years here in england,I never did that, and I was never the cheapest quote, but always been the best.professional and I respect other peoples property, from their carpets to their pets and everything else in their home.
Sounds like you picked the cheapest quote !!!

Flush the wc, but at the same time use a mop to plunge it with, it's better than trying to do it with wc brush. May need few goes to get rid of it all.

Just chuck a bucket of water down the loo, usually works.
