I don't want to buy Fabreze due to the fact I hate Procter and Gamble. Any product recommendations in stores or online are greatly appreciated!

Is it true spraying a can of Lysol on bedding works to kill them too? If this is true, then why does Lysol not use this as a selling point?

There are plenty of options to keep mites and their allergenic byproducts at bay, but since you want a spray, you might want to check out the link for a product called Mites Out!
As far as I know you can purchase it at Bed Bath & beyond

I don't like the idea of using a spray to kill mites in the air.

But if you've cleaned the filters to your furnace, used a damp dust rag (perhaps with a little Lysol on it) to clean, and have a vacuum cleaner that works well, you'll be able to cut down on the dust mites in your house a lot.

As for the question about Lysol- I really don't know. But they are an old, established brand that works, so perhaps they don't feel the need to.

I spray my bed with Lysol and vacuum the mattress.
But it's kind of pointless because dust mites live on our skin and eye lashes.(you can reduce them but not completely rid)

Merry Christmas!:)
