what is the best central vac for a split level home?

i'm getting dura vac, the old doravac. It's as costly as the major brands and it seems to be my only solution! The vac is central, and only the hose needs to be moved. It holds the debris in a canister good for approx. 3 mos, just thought there was a better one; but this seems the best; anyone complaining?
