Our vaccume is only a few months old. It is a Dirt Devil upright bagless. The hose has full suction when removed but when I attach it to the vaccume there is no suction on the floor head. The suction part will turn by hand but not by the force of the vaccume and there is no suction there. What is wrong?

Lol! Just had this problem a month ago. Check your belt, even if it doesn't look bad, change it. I had to read the owner's manual to figure this out. Worked like a charm. Good Luck.

EDIT: If the belt is a little stretched out it won't suck.

Have you checked the filters? Since you have suction from the hose, I'm pretty sure your problem isn't there.

Good luck!

You pronounced you wiped sparkling the filter out. What related to the bag? some vacuum cleaners have filters that ward off airborne dirt and mud from blowing out if it escapes the bag. yet, the bag is what definitely catches the airborne dirt and mud and stuff. And, if this gets complete, it ought to diminish back as much as the intake hose, clogging the device and scuffling with it from sucking good.

are you saying the brush is not spinning? The brush does not spin by vacuum force, it has a motor that is attached to the brush by a belt. most likely the belt is of track or broken. they are cheap just get a new one from Target or online.
