It depends on the holes and the shed and how much you want to put into it.

You can purchase a tube of sealant and try and find the leaks and plug them.

You can also go to the home improvement store and look for some rubberized roof refinisher. It is like a paint that can be put over the entire surface of the roof, and then dries up like a rubber shrink wrap and seals the roof. If the holes are not large, you may not even have to replace the roof if you do this. There are also versions for sealing up RVs and the like which would work, although they tend to be slightly more expensive.

Go to the roofing section of any home improvement store and look for gallon-sized paint cans in the vicinity. I wish I could give you a brand name to look for but they may differ depending on where you are. That rubberized sealer will plug up any small holes and is easy as putting on paint.

Yes home depot carries a cartridge style of silicone sealant in the paint department. Fill holes up you should be good to go. Be sure it is free of dirt and water before applying. If it is raining still when you want to put it on. Cover with plastic.
