I have a garden full of turnips. They cost $3/lb in the store. I don't know if anyone buys them. I thought maybe my horses or cows would like them......they don't.

Hi. I've enjoyed doing research about formal French gardens of the 16th and 17th century. Can anyone of like interest recomend any web sites?

How's this for a nice back yard? Although this looks like a nice little walk there are tricks of perspective used here. The top of that hill in the distance is three kilometers away. The Arabs originated these techniques.

When I attempt to solder, it sticks to either the wire I'm soldering or the iron and not to what I want it to stick to. What am I doing wrong?

I couple of months ago pruned a very sick looking rose bush, its now doing really well, and is producing lots of roses, but it has a long, very tall shoot which is covered with small white blossoms. Could this be a sucker ( because I thought they didn't produce any flowers), or is this rose just a freak of nature?

I'm supposed to open a little screw right above where you turn off the water for the sprinkler system and let that drain. It never seems to stop draining. Water keeps coming and coming so something is wrong. I just don't want my pipes to freeze or burst due to this little screw that I'm supposed to unscrew to let water out.

I live in Florida and have a very large oak tree in my backyard that appears to be sick and possibly infested with termites. Can someone who has hired a tree doctor give me an idea of what kind of money I'm looking at to treat and/or have a tree removed?

Hi there,
Was wondering if anyone knew any earth-friendly ways to get rid of (what i think are) aphids on a couple of my potted plants. Can't remember what the plants are called, but the bugs seem to only like them......the haven't touched my coleus. Any suggestions?

Everyone is raking the leaves up and including the garden. I've left mine in the garden. Isn't it good to use as a warming layer and mulch?

The house next door to me was repossessed and has been empty for over a year. We live in an estate neighborhood and all the houses have large lawns. It has 3 acres that are not mown and rodents, snakes and such have moved onto the lawn. The row of spruce trees that run next to my house are dying. We paid to cut and remove stumps of 2 of them but there are many more about to die. The house is infested with termites and goodness knows what else. Who is responsible to take care of this mess? Surely we aren't supposed to just sit back and live with it when we have to live by restrictions and rules.

I need help with an accent color (or maybe 2) for my living room...I just remodeled a house and moved in about 2 months ago and I'm still in the middle of decorating. The walls in my living room are sage green, the trim is white, I have cherry hardwood floors, my furniture is a real deep chocolate brown, and my end tables and coffee table are deep brown but the corners of them are marble (the marble is different colors of brown)...I need to know a good accent color that will somewhat BRIGHTEN up my living room because the room just looks too boring and dark for me...maybe like a rug and a good piece of artwork will do the job (because I have nothing on the walls yet), and some throw pillows on my couch and loveseat...I just don't know what colors would go good with sage green and brown! Please help!!! Thanks in advance =)

I have a Heywood Wakefield dresser set that is marked 1950. The one say M539 it is a large 12 draw dresser with the mirror. It is in good conditon. There is a little wear on the top part from stuff sitting on it but thats about it. There is also a smaller 5 draw dresser. It is in good condition. They are both wheat in color.

Please if you have any information on what these might be worth I really need to know. Especially the larger one I can't find it online anywhere.

My uncle has a small Banana tree on his backyard. It has growned a lot! But like we all now, winter is aproaching. In just 4 days the plants have turned from a beautiful green, to a dead brown. What can he do to preserve the small tree so that it will begin to grow plants again next spring or summer?

BTW it has not giving fruit yet.
Is at least 6 feet or bigger.

And when you pull out the choke to start, then after you get it started, do you leave the choke out, adjust it down a little or push it in all the way? I think totally down it goes off, is that right? I just bought a used one.

Every year at about this time we notice wasps inside our house. This year it is exceptionally bad. I am killing more than 10 wasps per day. I can't figure out where they are coming in from. Is it possible they have a nest in one of my walls or in a vent? If so how can i eliminate this problem?
