Get some lattice from your local lumber yard and build a 3 sided box to cover the side visible from the street just high enough to the top of the boxes. Then plant some clematis, it comes in pink, purple, I've seen white too. It will vine up on the lattice work and hide the boxes.
If you're real industrious, put a hinge on the back side to close it in but still make it accessible. Paint the lattice work white. Even without plants it will reduce the visibilty.
