This question has been answered a LOT here, you can look back and check out other answers as well as the vast amount of info about decorating small spaces on the net, and on TV, and in magazines. It is a major specialty in the design world.
The most important thing about furnishing a small space is that everything is there for a reason, at least one. In particular:
Eliminate clutter! You can accomplish more with less if you have versatile stuff...and you will have more room leftover to breathe and function and work.
Choose things that serve multiple functions. Room divider/shelf. Furniture with built in storage, like tables ottomans and benches. Pitcher or bowl as art piece. Desk/dining table.
Keep scale in mind but that doesn't mean miniature everything. A big squashy couch with a simple shape and pattern may be a better idea than several mini chairs. You want to be comfortable. Prioritizing what you really want in each room, you might be able to get a bigger piece that you love instead of several pieces that you don't love. For instance, you may be able to have a bigger bed if you move a dresser out. These larger pieces will stand out as a luxury to you and you need a few things like this. As long as the larger pieces don't become an obstacle to you, you will enjoy them more.
Decorate all your rooms in a similar color pallete to tie the spaces together. Then it isn't so obvious that you are moving from one tiny space to another, but rather you are going in and out of smaller aspects of a larger space.

I've been there with my little over 400 sq. ft. apartment at one time and space was always a problem. It isn't really decorating, but get bed raisers, so that you can fit rubbermaid tubs underneath, plus you can get steps for the bed. I always love those high beds. Let's see, some pictures for the walls, but not so much because it will feel enclosed. Try to frame the windows and go with lighter shades of color to make the rooms seem bigger (except the bedroom - I like a dark bedroom). You can put mirrors up to mimic more space. I never had a coffee table and have found that they take up a lot of space, but I like those fold out trays. You can find some really nice ones and I use those as in-tables sometimes. Along the lines of space, I also don't have a real bedroom suite. I have a rolling drawer set for my undergarments that I use an bedside table for my alarm clock and hang up the rest and have more plastic drawers in my closet. Maybe you can install some wall shelving for picture frames and nit-nacks.

The only advice I can offer other than that of the previous answers is to get Small Furniture. I recently worked on a Student Made House for the needy, and we designed it with warehouse furniture. The room was smaller than my bedroom at home, but by the end, it looked Huge and Fantastic. We used a small bed, and two small sets of drawers. Also, Shelves are highly useful!
