I noticed a pool of engine oil dripping out into the base of the lawn mower. I shut off the mower and found out the filter was drenched in motor oil.

We had our house built three years ago. Our electricity in our master bedroom has gone out several times (not from storms) in those three years. It seems to always happen when we're either away from home or in bed sleeping. Also, when the power goes out from storms, our master bedroom won't come back on automatically like the other rooms. My husband has to flip the switch in the box like all the other times it goes out. I called the electric company that did the wiring, and they said that we probably have too many items hooked up in that room. We have the normal stuff...tv, alarm clock, phone, radio, satellite, etc...but most of these things aren't even on when the power goes out. should i be concerned about the wiring and make them come out and investigate? or are they correct, and this means we definitely can't get the ceiling fan hooked up in there? i just don't have a good feeling about it. i'm scared there will be a fire one of these days.

I locked myself out today, without keys, shoes, or cellphone, and with my oven on. None of my neighbors are home during the day, so I decided I had to get inside somehow. We have a back door with the top half of the door being glass with wood squares forming or simulating panes. I tried to break out one pane with a hammer and after beating on the glass with all my might for quite awhile it didn't break. I was finally able to use a long flathead screwdriver between the door knob and frame and pop open the door (which is ok because we also have a dead bolt we can use). Now I'm wondering if all exterior doors have safety glass? This made me feel much better about break-ins considering I had such a horrible time breaking into my own home!

I'm stumped... I've seen lots of people in magizines with the bed up in a corner of their room but what goes behind it in the gap? any ideas so it doesn't look so awkward? I tried a palm tree but it looked funny and hung over the top of the bed...

I have a big problem with no cold water this time of year in Arizona. My house has the new plstic type of water pipes and not the normal copper. They are not insulated and they travel through the attic to get to where it needs to go in the house. The water that comes out of there is 100F give or take. No joke! I never need to use my hot water tank!
But it is not very refreshing and not good for laundry among other things. I need to figure out a way to get cooler water. I know they make pool coolers, but I have yet to find any type of "water cooler". I thought about have a hot water tank w/o the hot water, just for storage, but I would have no place to put it in the house.
If anyone can help, would be greatly appreciated.

Derek

The MIT study of Aluminium helmets as a screen against satellite moderated mind control was completed in 2005 when my paper " Mind control defence helmets and catalytic converters" had not yet been published. Although the full paper contains detailed instructions for knitting a 97% effective mind control balaclava helmet from multithreaded platinum wire supported on a substrate of Ridiculum90, it also includes instructions for a very useful make do solution using the catalytic converter from a VW Golf TDI. Here are the instructions.

1) Before commencing work wrap at least twenty wraps of Aluminium foil around your head leaving holes for your eyes.
2) Attach a crocodile lead to the foil and secure an earthing stake near to the work area.
3) Attach the other end of the lead to the stake
4) Using a plasma torch or a hacksaw remove the outer steel shell from the catalytic converter. This will leave you with the honeycombed platinum core.
5) Using a Star Wars light saber or a hacksaw finely slice the honeycomb into 1/4" wide slices.
6) Using spray on carpet adhesive spray both your head and one side of the honeycomb slices with glue and allow to become tacky
7) Stick the honeycomb slices to your head and mould to shape.
8) Use Copper wire to connect the slices and then use an automobile anti static drag strip attach to you shoe to earth the whole affair.
9Your mind control screen is now complete and you are invulnerable to the influence of people trying to make you do silly things.
