You can buy wire management systems that match the wall or mantel color. You can also hide them under moldings that are hollowed out. You can also hide them running along the mantel with a fabric runner. You can also use artwork leaned against the wall to hide the wires coming vertically from the TV and then feed them behind it where they run along the mantel. You can also drape fabric around the TV or you can install a sliding track with large art attached to hide the entire TV when not in use.

Most professional way is to run wires through the walls the same as you would electrical outlet wires etc
this will work OK if you have dry wall above mantle and behind TV
note that the costs are mostly labor if you have someone else do it, but just the materials (wires and connectors) could set you back a few hundred dollars, but the job could last for 10 of years so is worth it.

What I have done for my TV is run flat as possible on the mantel. Then using nic-nacks and some plastic greenery (fake vine and the like) placed them in front of any wiring that can be seen.
To run it down the side there are some great cable hide products that are in any home improvement store.

Panduit cable raceway will hide the wires along a wall, but down the mantel and around the brick? Bundle them together and run the exposed wires behind picture frames or whatever else looks good on your mantel. Not much else you can do.

What is the wall material? If it is brick you will not be able to hide it right below the TV! But if it is drywall you could possibly hide the wires in the wall?
Once down to the mantle you could hollow it out and hide them inside it?
You could always remodel the mantle and wall to conceal the wires too?

unfortunately the shops don,t tell you about these things when you buy the products but to do the proper job you have to track the walls (like dig a small trench) put the cables inside then replaster and paint then as far as women are concerned after two years they no longer like the t,v. in that position so you are now left with a wall above the fire with power and tv cables sticking out

Would have been better to dry line the wall and put the cables in there, are you aware of the distance and angle that a tv has to be in relation to the fire? It will break the tv if not correct.

You could cut a hole in the sheet rock depending where your electrcal outlets are and run the wires depending how many wires there are.

Fabric cord covers are available in many colors, fabrics, and sizes. They are available on line, at lighting stores, and also in Ballard Designs (catalog). I love them.
