Hi! I am moving to a new house, and the grass is way past cutting (more than 10 cm in places). I know that cutting the grass with a lawn mower may damage the blade if the lawn is too long. What would you recommend I do?

besides putting down carpet, rugs or wooden floors.
I want to keep the rawness of the concrete floor, but its painted a light grey & has soooo many marks, skuffs on it (this is my furniture showroom floor) so i have a large area to cover, but still need to keep the budget as low as possible. Cheers,
Sarah

Hello, I need some help. I need to drill two hols to put up a shelf. The place where I need to drill the holes are about 4 inches above the light switch and about 1 inch to the right. Is it safe for me to drill a hole into the wall and be 100 sure I would not hit any electric wires ? How do I find out where the electric wires are in connection with the light switch.

Thanks

What's the most hardwearing material?

I like the look of a wood top but is this hard to maintain, or can it be painted with something to protect it?

What is the difference/convienence on a side by side door refridge to a traditional up and down door (freezer on top) refridge? Or the newer style of the freezer on the bottom.

Which do you have more room with?

Which do you have and explain as to why you find it a better style?

My mother is coming home from hospital tomorrow after having extensive plastic surgery. This has caused my father to feel insecure and try to recapture his youth.
This morning whilst trying to have a huge clean round in preparation for my mother's homecoming, my sister and myself found a box of dirty video's under their bed.
They're disgusting and we don't know what to do about them.
Covered in coffee and tea stains, obviously used as coasters, one's got chewing gum stuck on it, several of them have white stains on them, paint or tippex. None of them are in their original boxes either.
Basically we need to know can they be cleaned up, and if so what can we use

I have 12-2 wire on hand. The actual damaged 14-2 wire I am replacing goes to a light switch. Then it is pigtailed to other 14-2 wire that goes to other lighting and receptacles on a 15 amp circuit breaker. Someone told me that according to code you can add 12-2 to 14-2 as long as the circuit breaker is 15 amp, thus protecting the 14-2 wire from getting hot. Thanks for your input.

I have a weird problem. The electricity in one of the rooms in my apartment goes off temporarily once in a while and comes back on a couple of hours later. I thought its the fuse box the first time, but it isn't. The last time it happened last summer, I discovered an old extension cord was causing some issue. What do you guys think this is?

The worst part is that it's not related to the amount of loan in the room. Sometimes just a bulb with cause the trip off. And it would back itself in an hour or two.
