I have the yellowish stains on our bath tub. I have tried the clorox bleach pen and the mr. clean magic magic eraser and nothing. The bleach pen just left a yellowish circle around it and the eraser did nothing. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I have white all over in my much amended soil, which I amended years ago. I noticed in my new lawn clippings this year when I poured then into a pile they had the same white stuff so I figure this is some kind of imbalance like nitrogen etc ? I am not a scientist, but one guy said seeing that white stuff in my soil is bad for my plants, like serious. I know I can have my soil tested and all, but not much money here and I thought I'd ask the A&A experts as they usually know. thanks so much for real answers or caring :)

Would it be better to use the Christmas lights that come in tinted shades and give off a soft light orange light as opposed to white light or other colors? I don't want it to look like a Christmas decoration/theme or look tacky. Also, what are some safety precautions to keep in mind when decorating with them? Are they a fire hazard if draped over fabric, for instance?

I would like to grow basil, thyme, rosemary, sage, oregano, parsley, marjoram, and chives. Should I grow them indoors? They seem too delicate to be outside.

If an extension cord is plugged into a surge protector then into the wall, and it is less than 6 ft long, is that still considered a fire hazard? Also, how exactly can the fire be started? Both the surge protector and the cord are grounded.

I have it in a pot, then I sit the pot in a dish filled with water with rocks and it is sitting by a window. But when the soil is wet already on top is it ok to set it in that dish of water?

I tried growing zucchinis in our garden here in suburban Washington DC. It was an experiment (one plant only). It grew very quickly, looking very healthy, received a generic plant/vegetable fertilizer, and plenty of water, even during the hot, sunny days of this summer. It flowered prolifically, to this day, but not a single fruit has developed. It got about two hours of sun per day. Any ideas what might be wrong? I'm disappointed with this first experiment!

The stains were left by various colognes and cosmetics either alchohol or chemical based. It appears that they have taken the smoothness from the varnish.

I have pole barn with a triange box shaped drip edge that is on top of the top layer of block, then sheet metal contiues to the roof overhange. The hornets go up into the groove in the block into the hollow triange shape and bulid nest all the way around my building. Its very hard to use a spraycan to get up the small opening in the triangle shape,I end up with more spray on me.The wand with my pump sprayer seems that it would work great, but I can't find what to make for a mix, that keeps them from attacking me,but kills and maybe helps stop rebuilding the nest.My pump sprayer is 1 gallon and the sealscan handle chemicals.

Always wanting to find more natural (and less chemical) ways to clean, especially laundry, I've been wanting to try those oxygenated laundry products. I've tried Oxy Clean laundry spray, and found it doesn't work as well as, say, Spray-n-Wash. So I wondered....has anyone tried the laundry detergents? Do they work as well as they say? Or not as good as they're cracked up to be, like I found the pre-soak to be?

i bought a small camellia plant from a supermarket throw out table. It had blackish type spots all over the top leaves so i pruned it back. That would have been half a year ago. Shortly after it was pruned it sent out some little buds and since then its done absolutely nothing. The buds just sit there. I water it, ive fed it with blood and bone but still nothing. Its not dead because it still has a few leaves and its not the climate because i have another one which is growing fabulously and has even flowered and everything. Whats wrong with it???

I live in Virginia, and from my driveway to my front door I have spider webs taking over! I don't even know how they get where they are, as they appear to have nothing to grab onto. They weave them right over the front doorway at night. They are merciless! I know spiders are good, but everything is covered in webs. Does anyone know a natural way to discourage spiders?

I got this flower as a gift and have no idea what it is but people seem to love it but I can't tell them anything about it.

All I know is that it started with only three stalks at the beginning of this summer and more and more stalks with huge leaves have been popping up.
