I can't sleep because it is just constantly making it's noises. What is the best way to get this cricket out of a hole in the wall?

I imagine the hole goes back the width of the shower. I know he's back there from his sounds, I can't see him though.

I cleaned the outside unit and turned power back on along with thermostat-unit runs fine including compresser. Black insulated line from outside to inside is very cold and icy and water is leaking on and into furnace. After doing some research, I figured that either there is a leak or my unit is low on freon because air will blow for several minutes out of registers but very, very low airflow. Repairman came out and recharged unit but said blower motor is not working correctly because of a faulty circuit board which will cost $500. I'm skeptical because I've heard of some techs being scammers. Is this a possible solution or do you think the blower motor just needs to be replaced?

I have one that has a light that comes on saying that its full - but it has no water in it. The owners manual does not have any tips on this problem. There are no local service centers for Maytag near me & we no longer have the receipt for it (its about 2 yrs old). No one will look at it with out a receipt of course.
Does anyone have any suggestions? We had some water in our basement from heavy rains in wisconsin & basement is very musty smelling & I would like to run the unit - but cant!

Thanks!

we have a bath which has a raised rim, the shower is above the bath (not the tap end) and when we shower the water pools around this rim against the wall, this is causing the silicon seal to go mouldy and we have to use towls to remove the water. a new bath is out of the question and so is moving the shower due to the layout of the bathroom.
any ideas how to divert the water away from the rim or a product which does this?

I have a healthy FrangiPani (white flower) in my yard from which I took 2-3 stems for transplanting elsewhere. New plants wilted and drooped immediately and now sport curled up, black leaves. Are they dead? Should I wait to see what happens? Is this transplant trauma or doomsday? HELP!

We were looking into putting up a privacy fence, but after receiving a free estimate this was a little more than we would like to spend. I think the estimate was around $7,000. I know people say that certain trees will serve this purpose; however, I want something that will grow extremely fast....I know that is asking for a lot and there probably isn't anything that will work immediately without using the fence. I just don't know if waiting a few years for tree growth will aleviate any of my worries until they begin to grow and block neighbors. Does anyone know anything that grows fast and well in the US southeast region?

Please visit http://img523.imageshack.us/img523/8056/racksfq4.jpg to take a look at the rack I'm constructing. There are 6 racks in total. Each rack has 3 compartments, all hollow. They are made of heavy wood. I need to know what is the best way to support the middle 'bridge' rack? Are screws alone enough to hold it? Do I need vertical pillars or a pipe-like structure across underneath to support it? Any other idea? I need to construct it this way, so please do not suggest other arrangements. I want to put my tv under the 'bridge'.

I put spaghetti down the drain last night....stupid move! Anyways, when I run the disposal, that side of the sink goes down but the other side fills up with nasty stuff AND then the disposal side fills up a little too. I am ignorant when it comes to plumbing stuff but want to know if I will be able to fix it. Thanks!

This is the second light on this switch. The other works properly. Th new light only comes on when the switch is off. There are four wires coming out of the fixture when they are not needed. I have switched and reversed everything, only get light when wired as should be when the switch is off. Even replaced the switch. Thanks.

We live in an apartment near Kansas City, KS.
We are moving out at the end of September.
The irises have been living for about 8 years in my garden, and we will be moving to another apartment, where we might have to grow them in a pot instead of in the ground.

These bulbs belonged to my mom for over 10 years before she died, and I got them. I don't want to lose them.

Will they die if I dig them up in late September?
How can I store them so they don't freeze or rot? (I lost several a few years ago when I tried to store them and they got moldy.)
Can they grow okay in a pot? What size/depth pot is best?

I might be able to put them in the ground. Is this best?

Thanks!

We are moving in 3 weeks and want to put a fireplace in our new home- I like the traditional mason installed fireplaces but heard that the cost is very expensive! The newer townhomes have gas fireplaces and they seem to be nice?? Do any of you regret getting a nice gas fireplace instead of paying thousands more for a real fireplace with a chimney? I'd rather save the money if a gas one would do the trick for the house- I want the new home to be classy and I especially love a fireplace on Christmas morning with the family! Thanks for your help with this one! :)
