Try putting an a notice about it in freecycle.org. You can probably find someone who would be delighted to keep it out of a landfill by coming with a truck to cart it away for free.

If not get a pipe cutter (large size) from Home Depot or Lowe's. Put it around a leg and turn the tightener until the cutting wheel presses on a leg pipe. Then turn the cutter around the leg in a circle keeping tightening the cutter into the leg. After a few turns it will make a clean cut and take the leg off. Repeat for the rest of the legs. Then go for the pipe on the top. Then you have a bunch of pipe sections that can go out with the trash.

I got rid of mine by placing a sign on the corner that said free to a good home. A neighbor had sugested calling a junkyard and letting them have it for scrap metal.

Is there a freecycle group for your area? This is a great way to get rid of things you don't want or need that could really be of use to someone else.

I'd love to have one! Definitely advertise it on freecycle if you want to give it away, craigslist if you want to make some money off it.

Advertise it locally. Say it is free if the person removes it.

Maybe a local church could use it. Or freecycle.
