It is a full grown mountain ash and I want to nail some boards to it for my cats to perch on as part of an enclosure (with netting) My husband thinks we'll kill the tree if we do that.

I recently had grasscloth wallpaper added to one wall of my office, and I simply LOVE the look.

When i purchased it, the clerk told me not to ever use grasscloth in a bathroom or kitchen because the moisture and oils would ruin the grass.

But when I look at decorating magazines, I see many bathrooms with real grasscloth wallpaper.

Is there a certain kind I should get to accomplish this?

I'm looking for a grasscloth that is similar to what just went up in my office. see here: http://www.livinginzen.net/office/my-love-affair-with-grasscloth-in-the-office-continues-on-custom-grasscloth-covered-files/

Thanks for any advice.

I have an electric water heater that is due for replacement. My range, and central heat is gas. There is no gas line piped to the location of the water heater.

I am considering a tankless water heater. I am considering electric, because the house is already wired for it. If I go with gas, then I will have to run a pipe to it. What do you think?

What do you think of hybrid (gas/electric) water heaters?

Is a tankless water heater really better than a conventional water heater with a timer attached?

My apartment burned on 1/11/07. A local church gave me a used washer that had been donated to them; however, there was no drier. Since then I have had to rely on a laundry line to dry my clothes. Now that I have realized over the course of these 3 months that my power bill is so much lower, I am considering not even buying a dryer.

I started to research line-drying laundry & apparently in some countries this is mandatory. I then discovered that a friend of mine who lives in Australia has never even owned a dryer (I always just assumed everyone used clothes dryers)

Then it occured to me if 100% of the popluation agreed to Line-Dry thier clothes for just the warmer months of the year... then wouldn't the earth be much better for it? Is this idea perhaps one small way to help prevent Global Warming?

And... I have been pleasantly surprised (having never Line-Dried before) that my clothes require less if any ironing. My linen napkins actually look as if they have been ironed.

I was disconnecting my muffler, and the thermostat(?) became disconnected from the air vane. I connected it again, and the engine made a knocking sound.

I am moving into apartments with ugly windows that make me feel like I am in prison or a basement. The windows are about 2 feet tall by 4 feet wide and about 4 feet off the ground. What kind of curtains should I get to hide that? Should they reach all the way to the floor or just below the window? Thank!

Our Jasamine tree is dyinging we think. We just got it Two weeks ago. We live in So. California. It is on our balcony which gets only AM sunlight. For the first week that we had it, it did not get barely any sun due to the Marine Layers in the morning. We have been watering it every other day, is that to much? Should we move it into a bigger pot? It is in the same pot that we got from the nursery. There are no new blooms on it anymore. Does it dye then come back? The leaves are curling up too. It has not gotten any bigger. Please help we do not want it to dye, plus we paid $35 for it and we do not want to be throwing out money. Thanks
