contact a kitchen remodeling company, they may have some people that will come out and sand and polish the countertop for you. Check with a home improvement store also, they may have kits that will allow you to do the same thing.

Never seen sandstone countertops. That seems like a really poor matierial. So soft and porous. I'd say just get rid of them and uprade to something not used in the caveman days.
