I put a couple of fabric softener sheets in my suitcase to help with the musty odor. Now it has an overwhelming perfume scent that makes me sneeze. I'm trying baking soda, but the scent still lingers. How long does it take for baking soda to totally neutralize it? I have an upcoming trip and don't want to smell like that. Any other tips for neutralizing would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Any help would be appreciated.

Can tulips be planted in March or do I have to go all the way back around to Jan. of next year? I've kept them in the refrigerator to keep them from sprouting but they have a little.

A concrete block on the top of a 2 foot high wall has come loose. I know that if I knock all the old concrete away with chisel I can reconcrete it. Is there an adhesive I can use instead to reduce the hassle.

I got someone to come give me an estimate on spraying for termites. He wants $600 I don't really have. A friend told me you could get spray from Coop or someplace and spray yourself. I was wondering if this would work.

We're about to take over an allotment and need some simple, practical advice on how to grow veges etc. I remember seeing a book a while back that told you what you should be doing in each month of the year - that looked really helpful but of course I can't find it now! Does anyone have any recommendations for a similar helpful book? cheers.

My problem is that the backyard is only about 30/20ft. and half of it is wood decking. The other half is wood chips and mud and I have 3 small dogs and if it rains at all thier small paws go through the wood chips and get very muddy. To compound the problem my back door is off of my bedroom so the minute I let them in they jump on my bed w/ muddy paws and track the mud all over my small 700sq ft. living space. So, what I would like to know w/ out wasting more money on solutions that have proved to not be helpful is how can I create a MUDLESS backyard? Something besides grass becasue that hasn't worked and I don't want astro turf either - any suggestions besides getting rid of my lovely dogs?

When I bought my house three years ago, we almost never got water in the basement. Now that the empty lot next to me has been built up, paved over, and turned into a large condo building, I'm getting water. Their land has been built up about 2 - 3 feet higher than mine. It's now graded down toward my property line, which is about two feet from my foundation.
Might I have any legal recourse?
