First, blot out as much as you can by pressing it with paper towels, moving the towel between pressings to a clean, dry spot.
Then try Dawn Dish detergent (avoid the one with bleach). Let it sit over night, then wash in cool water. You may have to repeat this.
If that doesn't work, try Zout stain remover or something I've seen at craft stores called Grandma's Secret Spot remover.

Cola works well on oil stains.
Pour straight from the can or bottle. If the stain has been there a while, leave to sit for about an hour, then wash as normal.

The best product I have found for getting oil based stains out of clothing is Dawn dishwashing liquid. Pour it directly onto the stain and work in. If it is a very stubborn stain, repeat. You may need to let the Dawn sit overnight.

If the shirt can be put in the wash with the white clothes, wash the load in hot water with bleach. Also, add a cup of dishwashing detergent powder. It might come completely out or you might have to repeat.

This book has 2 methods for Grease, Oil & Tar
#1
Use powder or chalk absorbents to remove as much oil as possible.. Pre-treat with dry cleaning solvent(in dryel kit) or detergent, or liquid shampoo.
Maybe use the shampoo since you most certainly have it on hand.
Then wash in hottest water safe for fabric with plenty of detergent.
#2
Rub spot with lard and sponge with a dry cleaning solvent. Wash in hottest water safe for fabric.
I did use method#1 for grease on a brand new rug and it worked like a charm. Plus also I have a best answer for another who had tar on his clothing and it worked for him.

Sounds crazy but dump some coke or pepsi into the wash load. Or right on the stain. Then wash as normal.
