My parents are moving from their home into assisted living. They cannot hold a yard sale in their community. Does anyone know of organizations that will take items that they don't want and either hold an auction, put them in a flea market, or sale of some kind? Most items are not worthy of a true auction. I know we will pay a fee or percentage, but would like to recoup some of the items' value for things we don't want to just donate. I don't even know where to look on the Internet or phone book for organizations that do this. My parents live in Central Coast of California.

We put laminate flooring thru-out our new house. They have done some cutting with a table saw and mudding some spots in the door frames and hall. I now have a floor full of saw dust and sanded off drywall mud on the floor. I tried using a damp washcloth (rung out as much as I could, so it didn't drip) but there are now smear marks on the floor and the shine is gone. What can I do it get it back?

I have neglected my household for about a year....I have been in chronic pain for many year;s and this past one has been harder than the other's. I do clean, of course, but just "on top" no thourough cleansing as one should. So I have started my spring cleaning....and in the kitchen, way back in the cabinet, where I keep pan's I haven't used in a long time, were these smallish spider's and there was a big one too. Not very big, but big enough. Thin brownish leg's and a round body. Not a daddy long legs and not the jumpy ones one sees every once in awhile. Are they dangerous? I sprayed them and they are dead, of course. But before I go any further, I'd like to know more....

My vacuums are pieces of crap. I have had a Eureka and a dirst devil. I vacumm and kitty litter still is on the ground. I havent been able to vacuum for a few days because ours is broken again. I dont want kitty litter around because of my daughter and because of myself. I do not want to go out and buy yet another one just so it can last a week or two and crap out. I cannot afford one of those dysons so check that off. I do not want to spend anymore than 120.00

Please keep in mind this is a family of 4 and I need a pretty good vacuum that can handle constant spills (kids)

My parents are going to be visiting us for three to four months. Thinking of buying an aerobed or an airbed for them while they stay at our place. Please let me know if such a bed is suitable for this long term use for two people, also do you think i would need to keep fixing leaks.

I'm remodeling my room this summer with a hippie theme. I could use any do it yourself ideas. I'm looking for some real originality here, parents don't care as long as I pay for everthing so I'm on a pretty low budget. Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!

They can usually be screwed in. Sometimes they're metal, sometimes they're made out of wood. Sometimes they're round, sometimes they're shaped like a pine cone. Are they called bedknobs? I need the exact word for them. Please, serious answers only. Thanks!

I live in Georgia and have a very mostly shady yard. The yard is now moss covered and we want grass. What is the best type of grass for my yard? When should we plant? Do we need to get rid of the moss first, if so how? If we decide to sod instead of sow seed, can we do that now in the spring?
