Our dog has been sleeping on the sofa while wet and slightly muddy and it's now in pretty bad shape. It's a deep pink colour covered in a cotton fabric, and I don't know how I should get the watermarks and general grubbiness out. Also, our other sofa, a white colour, has some blood on the cushions - what should I do with it?

I recently moved into a new house. I am having a problem cooking dinner because the temperature numbers and settings have worn off the dials of my oven, so I am having problems setting the right temperature. Can anyone take / find a decent photo of a "stove New home efa600h" oven so that I can write the settings back onto it. Any help would be greatly appreciated so that I can cook dinner!

Our dog urinates in our yard and it discolors the grass. Unfortunately she has a submissive urination problem, so every time you approach her when she has to urine, she sees the approach as a challenge and shows her submission by urinating. That makes it difficult to leash her and walk her away from the lawn. Any suggestions on how to treat the grass where she's urinated to remove the discoloration?

The unit puts off a strong smell, like it's overheating, whenever we use hot water. After a while it goes away, but as soon as hot water is turned on again for more than a few seconds, it comes back. What could it be?

I have a lot of black (skirts, sweaters, dress shirts) and I can't stand how everything fades after just a couple washes. What is the best detergent or whatever to use on them? Thanks.

I have two sweaters that were $54 each, and after I wore/ washed them (following the directions) I messed up and hung them on a hanger to dry instead of laying them flat. The button holes are all stretched now and they're just shaped funny. Plus, I pulled up the sleeves and the arm holes are much larger now. Is there any way to fix this? I'd really hate to be out over a hundred dollars.. Thanks.

We have a small strawberry patch, and right now it's full of brown dried leaves from last year. I don't think I should pull out the old plants, or should I trim them maybe to the ground? Also, they get very thick in the summer, wondering if a periodic thinning (pulling out some of the plants) should be done throughout the summer?

I have tried for several years to get someone to do some renovation work on the sandstone features on the front of my business premses. All I get is broken promises or very high ( speculative) Quotes. I have decided to have a go myself with help from friends/family. If anyone knows of any websites or books that would help, I would appreciate the information.
