I have two sweaters that were $54 each, and after I wore/ washed them (following the directions) I messed up and hung them on a hanger to dry instead of laying them flat. The button holes are all stretched now and they're just shaped funny. Plus, I pulled up the sleeves and the arm holes are much larger now. Is there any way to fix this? I'd really hate to be out over a hundred dollars.. Thanks.

i'm afraid the damage has been done! you probably had the water a little too hot when you washed them! once the wool has been stretched there's nothing you can do except learn from your mistake and be more careful next time!

try washing them by hand again and putting them flat to dry , if this doesn't work just throw them away. I have ruined things myself by following the directions on the tags before ,now if something looks delicate and like I should hand wash or not even wash I use my own discretion. good luck,

Wash it again in warm water, it should re-take its shape, and lay flat to dry. If that doesn't work, try dry-cleaning it.

If it has not been long since you purchased these sweater, maybe if you can find the receipt, you can go back to the store to get them exchanged, since this should not happen.

Wash it in hot water and stick it in the dryer.
