They all have an R rating or similar, the higher the R rating the better the insulation. 20-22 is very good.

They discuss the R value which is the relative insulation value of several materials. Thickness is not an indicator of good insulative value.

My experience has been helping my parents blow in Rockwool after theirs had settled after being in the house for many years. This is not an uncommon occurrence.

With any type of insulation - the higher the R value, the better.

r= resistance to heat , higher # heat passes slower through it

people hate rock wool, but it's better than fibergless r value
that spray foan is great , but you can't afford it...same with the blown blanket fiberglass

batts & blow - rockwool , cellulose - ( chewed up newspaper-I wouldn't ), fiberglass
