I have one in my garden NOW. I am not going barmy or drunk my neighbour has also spotted it. Its been a regular all winter

thank you serious contibutors, some good answers. I am am a member of the RSPB. I e mailed them some weeks ago but they didn't respond. Its still here on the bird feeder. I t is a perfectly normal robin

NO IT IS NOT AN AMERICAN ROBIN(TURDUS MIGRATORIUS)what a horrid name, My bird is the true British robin, the american one is not really a member of the robin family, it is too big and scruffy, unlike our pedigree true robin. we can't even call it an American cousin

I've never seen robin with a whte breasts, but why not?
Mutations are happening all the time. If in next few years you'll start to see more of them, than it could be the sign that something is wrong with the environment, but for only one, it can be just mother nature's joke.
Does he has other feathers in lighter color than the other robins? If he does, he might be an albino.

Not yet mate! Get a picture and get in touch with your local wildlife people and see if they can help you know more about it. Good luck. Oh yeah, leave some food like nuts and stuff in a tree or high enough so cats dont spot it and try and eat it

Take a picture of it, or you won't have any proof. I visited Washington DC and saw the infamous albino squirrel! I've never seen an albino squirrel before, and I heard that it was a regular in DC.

You may have seen a Grey tit as they are similar in size and appearance - obviously the chest is a different colour white/grey as opposed to red.
