I recently moved into a new house. I am having a problem cooking dinner because the temperature numbers and settings have worn off the dials of my oven, so I am having problems setting the right temperature. Can anyone take / find a decent photo of a "stove New home efa600h" oven so that I can write the settings back onto it. Any help would be greatly appreciated so that I can cook dinner!

Please note - the information is printed on the oven itself, not on the actual dials. Additionally, there are other functions and settings, so just manually measuring the temperature with a thermometer won't solve the entire problem.

You would need to find the 9 digit full model number (normally located behind the oven door), but you can find your new dials here:
http://www.espares.co.uk/search/cookers-and-hobs/stoves/p/1092/630
If you can't find it on the site, they let you fill in a form and their call centre will find it for you.

Use an oven thermometer inside the oven. Turn on oven to any point. Wait while oven preheats. Open door, note temperature and mark on oven control what temp was reached. Move Temp control to another spot. wait for preheat. Open door, note temp, mark on oven control. Repeat. A magic marker will probably work for marking so long as the surface is grease free.

Go to any store and pick up a cheap oven thermometer. When you find a good temperature, mark the stove.

The simple solution to your problem is to look for the G.C. code on your cooker, it is usually found in the storage compartment at the bottom of the cooker or behind the oven door, sometimes they are placed in awkward places, but if you look hard enough you will find it. Armed with the code and the model / make of your cooker go to your local gas appliance store and ask them to oder you a new Temperature control knob. Good luck.

any kitchen store and most grocery store have thermometers that you can put in the oven. most ovens are not correct any ways. my last oven was about 25 degrees off . so even with the no.s written on the stove you should rely on the true temp.

You can write to the manufacture for a print out of the diagram, they may even have a stick on one to send to you, if not then, you can do everything with your home PC and Printer just, design one on your PC in all kinds of different designs that you want with any word processing programs and find printing paper that has the peal off backing to print it on and then just cut it out with a pair of scissors.

You would be better off buying a new dial. Look for a "parts" store in your yellow pages or buy one from the manufacturer.
