I have a lot of black (skirts, sweaters, dress shirts) and I can't stand how everything fades after just a couple washes. What is the best detergent or whatever to use on them? Thanks.

Or course wash in cold water with mild detergent, but have you ever gotten a package of Rit dye to refresh dark colors? It works awesome. Make sure the clothes are of a material that can be dyed--not polyester. You'lll be surprised how great it works!

Cold water and the All Small & Mighty detergent that has snuggle already added into the detergent. I wear mostly black as well, and have found this method to work perfectly.

Woolite for dark colors. i buy the big bottle at Sam's. plus i never need a dry cleaner. always use cold water. and wash them separately , dyes from other clothes will mute the black. black dye is a combination of colors and if it gets an unbalance of colors it will mute.
