I had stored some leather and faux fur in a basement some items has mold and mildew on them and some things just smell musty.

If I were you I would not try to do it myself the best solution is to take it to the dry cleaners.

Febreeze. I have a suede/fur jacket that was kept in the garage for awhile, and I febreezed the crap out of it and hung it in the sun to dry. Worked perfectly!

purchase a huge bag of kitty clutter with carbon granules. Fill a container with 0.5 of the kitty clutter place jacket on the clutter, cover with ultimate clutter. cover permit stand for a month. scent will disappear. Works for musty books too.

If you can - clean them with vinegar and bleach, set them in the sun to dry. If you can't clean them, then spray them with Fabreese and put them in the sun to dry.

get: dry cleaner's secret. grocery stores should have it . follow the directions.
