Red Pincushions, they are a wine colors flower. They require full sun in zones 3-8 and grow about 2' tall.

Coral Bells, more of a true red, are really pretty and attract hummingbirds.

Chocolate cosmos, are a dark burgundy plant that grows in both full sun and partial shade. The work well for zones 6-10.

Then of course, you can always find dark red in roses, lilies (beautiful!), tulips...

I have some beautiful tulips and a lot of bulbs are beautiful if you like something that climbs french lace or a trumpet vine are beautiful.

Mr. Lincoln roses are a deep velvet red almost maroon.

Some roses and tulips are so red that they are nearly black.
