1960s themed bedroom help?

I am redoing my bedroom with a 1960s/Hippie theme. I have several questions:
1. What kind of chairs should I get (affordable)
2. Does anyone know how to paint a wall tiedyed
3. Any do it yourself reccomendations for painting, decorating, furniture, anything

Bean bags.

Beaded curtains at the doorways.

Lava lamp is a MUST.

Instead of trying to paint the room Tye-died, you could get soft fabrics and hang them along the walls in multiple colors. I have seen many retired hippies that have done this in their homes. It gives the room a very relaxed, boudoir type of feeling. If I remember right, there is a scene in Forrest Gump where Jenny is in a room decorated like this.

Mirrors on the walls are good, too.
