I've got a white marbletop coffeetable...and watermarks! I inherited this from my mother, and I'd love to get rid of them. I tried marble cleaner, vinegar, regular cleaners (simple green, all purpose cleaners) to no avail.

I cant remove the toilet nut bolt that holds the toilet to the floor. I used my wrench and instead it loosen the hold down bolt, or closet bolts whatever they are called, so what do I do?

PS. Iam changing my toilet b/c is not working right. I just brought a condo. It was normal, until I noised this humming noise comming down from the bathroom, to the kitchen, and weird noises like vibration, humming etc. So I held down the toilet with my hands, and flushed it, and the vitraing noise, humming went away, but when I let go it started again. Weird? I dont see how that happens, if at the beginning I never had that problem. HELP

So I have some beautiful creamy white cotton towels that I bought and laundered for the first time the other day. I laundered them ALONE, with no other clothes, and they weren't dirty or anything.

After laundering, they've developed dark gray patches and I can't seem to get them out. I've tried everything - color-safe bleach, regular bleach, different detergents - but the gray won't come out.

I also have a set of white sheets that I simply can't restore to their original white - even after multiple washes the sheets are still dark and "dirty looking".

My detergent is just regular Purex and my washing and drying machines are just normal apartment fare. With bleach not helping and myself at my wits end, can anyone help me make my "whites" actually WHITE? :(

It is a painted drywall ceiling. I would prefer a good cleaner that would allow me to remove it permanently without repainting or any other evasive procedures.

I have a in ground pool in desperate need of repair, it is a slant side that is 6 foot deep at one end and 41/2 at the other and I would like for it to be 41/2 foot deep all the way across. Then put in a new liner. What about the drain in the bottom? What else do I need to look for and what does it need to be filled with? Sand and dirt or what? The pool I think is 12ft wide and 24ft. long(?) any suggestions or know anyone that has handled anything like this? thanks CaseyK

We were having some problems with our bathroom light and we turned off the breaker and it was really dirty and we saw a wire that looked fairly beat up. We cleaned it out a bit and used wire cutters to remove the part of the wire that looked bad. We reconnected the wire the same way it was...when we turned on the breaker the lights came on in the bathroom for a minute and then went out. It is not the light bulbs or the breaker everything else in the room functions properly. I am thinking it might be the light switch. Or is there anything else that it could be?

I have a 1950s 18K gold Omega watch with a cracked acrylic crystal. I see a few authentic Omega replacement crystals in the same size for sale online, and several different tools, I'm just wondering which tool is the best (but not too expensive) and if there are any "tricks" to doing it. I am pretty handy with the basics of clock repair etc., so don't bother answering if you are a watch repair shop employee and just going to tell me take it to a professional. For that same cost I can buy the part & tools and have the tools left over for future use.
