Don't look for the cheap way out. Hire yourself a good contractor who can professionally fix things up for you. Your driveway can tell a lot of things about how well you maintain your home. The tonnage of your vehicles and the constant traffic on your driveway will quickly deteriorate if you insist on taking shortcuts to have your driveway laid down right.

Quickcrete sells concrete patch. You get rid of all the loose stuff first and mix it up per the instructions on the bag. fill in whatever space you have and smooth out with a trowel. I also swept over it lightly with a broom to get those nice traction lines in it. It doesn't take too long to dry but every hour or so the first day you should lightly mist the are with your hose. This will insure that it dries slowly and will make the patch a bit stronger.
If you have real deep spots you can fill in a little with rocks or old bit of conrete but no pebbly stuff. And make sure the are is free of dust / Spray out with a hose and let dry before you fill in.

4 years in the past, my asphalt crowned driveway became taking off to disintegrate. I made some calls to close by contractors who put in and repaired driveways, however the backside estimate that I have been given became for $2500. i did no longer have $2500 and if I had had that quantity of money, i actually does no longer have had to spend it on my driveway. It wasn't THAT undesirable. So rather I went to the close by abode Depot to work out what a housewife who knew actual no longer something might desire to do to restoration a crumbling asphalt driveway via herself.

Extreme cold/ice causes this effect, its called spalling. There is not much you can do with it other than replace it. There are alot of Epoxy materials out there however most are just spoofs as the next winter will cause further damage. Contact a good concrete company and get an estimate of replacement.

What kind of material is it; asphalt or concrete. Yes, there are ways to repair either of them. However, if it is too bad, you might consider calling a driveway spec. in to get an idea of what is involved. You don't have to hire him, but just talk and listen, ask questions and tell him thanks and you will call him. In the meantime, keep in mind that Lowe's sells everything you would need to do it yourself.

Who ever installed your concrete doesn't know what there doing. If done when to cold out ,concrete doesn't cure right. If exposed to winter salt from vehicles when not properly cured ,this will cause same problem. Should be replaced.

It needs to be sandblasted or pressure washed and topcoated with 2" of fibreglass reinforced concrete. Or, you can have it top coated with Asphalt.
The second choice is the least expensive.
