I've got a white marbletop coffeetable...and watermarks! I inherited this from my mother, and I'd love to get rid of them. I tried marble cleaner, vinegar, regular cleaners (simple green, all purpose cleaners) to no avail.

I have just the solution for your dilemma, Marble table-top stains

Sprinkle salt on a fresh-cut lemon. Rub very lightly over stain. Do not rub hard or you will ruin the polished surface. Wash off with soap and water.
Scour with a water and baking soda paste. Let stand for a few minutes before rinsing with warm water.

Good Luck !

i cant imagine a true marble top having water stains. i would try a buffing compound. they make it for marble, with an electric buffer. the only way to get rid of the marks is to take off a minute layer of marble.
