I'd start with a theme or an idea on how you want your bedroom to make you feel.... Serene? A sanctuary? Exciting? Energetic? Romantic? Tropical?

Then I'd start looking at magazines and tear out photos of things that give you that feeling.... Then sit down with your significant other and discuss the colors, patterns, accessories, likes and dislikes and you should be able to make your bedroom your favorite room in the house and you will BOTH enjoy your time there....

I really like warm neutral colors in the bedroom, especially for paint and furniture colors, you can always add accent colors with bedding, rugs and accessories. I like pale golds, topaz, sepia tones for the walls, you could even go with a special finish, like the suede-finish they have, even on one wall as an accent, perhaps your headboard wall. Then you could go with more color with the bedding, maybe blues or greens in light shades for an airy feel. We have a ocean/beach theme, with sand colored walls and carpeting, light furniture and a pretty pale blue comforter. Lots of beachy accessories and greenery in the form of potted plants. It's a very serene place! Good luck!

Well, you don't give any kind of clue as to what your in to, but a fresh coat of paint, can change any room, without breaking the wallet. Paint amazingly can change that old piece of furniture that is drab, make it fab! I do this all the time! Hope this helps.
