Can someone elaborate on how these gadgets propel themselves? I've read that some use a belt whereas others use a gearbox. Do the self propelled wheels turn independently (eg. Is it possible to bind one wheel, preventing it from rotating, while keeping the other moving?)

They get in my food, they get in my clothes, they bite, and they even get my ears and belly button. I can't stand to have them crawling over me. My ceilings and walls are covered! Please, someone help!

i have to do this stupid experiment for school and i am supposed to get people to guess my outcome. so here it goes. they gave me 4 pairs of white socks to get dirty and then i have to clean them using sodium hypochlorite to see if it works the same as bleach. i have one pair with bar be que sauce stained on the bottom, one pair with spaghetti sauce satined on the bottom, one pair with chocolate syrup stained on the bottom (that was gross), and then one pair i just wore outside and got grass and dirt stains on the bottom. i am supposed to ask which, if any will come the cleanest using sodium hypochlorite.

Well during the winter my clothes smell fine. But it seems that when summer comes and my clothes heat up (even if i dont sweat) they start to smell funny. I generally only wear cotten clothes. I always wash them before I wear them and I use a nice smelling fabric softner. Anyone have a similar experience and how can I combat this troubling problem?

've been "re-habbing" a commercial building that has about 300 sf of brick floor. It is about 25 years old. Between the age and the dirt, dust, plaster etc that I've track onto it over the last few months it is quite dirty. Not greasy, just plain old dirty. I've scrubbed it with a brush and lots of clean water and it is looking significantly better, but the pits in the brick still have dirt. Can I use a steam cleaner or some other sort of wet vacuum to accomplish this? Quite frankly, I'm just tired of scrubbing over and over. The bricks are sealed (25 years ago?). Once the floor is clean, I've got some Silica Sand to brush onto/into the floor to fill up the gaps inbetween the bricks. I then plan to put a fresh coat of sealer on top. Any comments or suggestions are welcome. Thanks! -mk

The other morning I noticed a large puddle of water coming out from under my washer. This puddle appeared after I heard a gurgling sound. Last night I was in the kitchen washing the dishes and was running the washer at the same time, when the wash cycle turned over to the rinse cycle and the water was draining from my washer, it began to bubble up out of my kitchen sink! And it was dirty water too...it looked like stuff was floating in it, like the pipes are dirty inside. Why did this happen? It happened again this morning, that when the wash cycle turns over into the rinse, and the rinse cycle turns over into spin cycle, the water bubbles up out of the kitchen sink. The laundry room is inside the bathroom, which is right next to the kitchen. I imagine all of the pipes are connected somehow. My husband thinks the drain leading from the washer is clogged and told me to pour Draino into it. I do not think that is the answer. Thanks for your help!

My lily pond is a fiberglass insert. It is 8 ft. long, irregularly shaped, 18 inches deep and holds approximately 300 gallons of water. It is located within my atrium which is surrounded by four outside walls so the option of running a hose from the pond, down hill, is out of the question. Is there some device or equipment that I might use to empty this pond for the purpose of cleaning it. Until now I have had to empty it bucket by bucked and using a dry vac to get the last bit. Of course moving a dry vac with a tank full of water is quite difficult. Are there any suggestions? Please, and thanks.

I have a lot of veggies left over from a party, and I was wondering if I should leave some for the rabbits and deer. There are small carrots (that are oddly sweet), red pepper slices, cucumber slices, and raw broccoli. Should I leave them out for the rabbits and deer? We recently had extremely warm weather (60 degrees outside right now and the 4 feet of snow we had a few days ago is gone now). Our raspberry and current berry bushes. The birds right now are chirping like crazy. So should I leave the food out for the rabbits and deer or is it a bad idea? Will it take them several days to find it or no?

I mistakenly was told to wire all neutral(white) together, and all hot(black) together. What the store rep didn't tell me was that it doesn't work when I have more than 1 switch-controled recepticals in that junction box. Now, all recepticales are hot, and the switches turn everything off. How can I rewire the box to allow multiple switch-controled recepticals, while maintaining multiple contstant hot recepticals?
