I have a lot of veggies left over from a party, and I was wondering if I should leave some for the rabbits and deer. There are small carrots (that are oddly sweet), red pepper slices, cucumber slices, and raw broccoli. Should I leave them out for the rabbits and deer? We recently had extremely warm weather (60 degrees outside right now and the 4 feet of snow we had a few days ago is gone now). Our raspberry and current berry bushes. The birds right now are chirping like crazy. So should I leave the food out for the rabbits and deer or is it a bad idea? Will it take them several days to find it or no?

A nice idea.

Sure, why not?

Who doesn't like deer and rabbits. And what rabbit or deer wouldn't enjoy some oddly sweet carrots after a long winter?

That depends on whether or not you have a veggie garden in the summer or not... If you have a garden in summer you do NOT want to attract deer and rabbits!

sure that's regularly occurring...I cant allow you to know precisely why dogs want to devour that style of stuff. we've a horse farm and all 5 of our dogs imagine that horse manure is like sweet. someone informed me once that they do it to make themselves scent like that animal so as that the different animal would not imagine that the canines is a predator. My vet says they basically do it because they prefer it (oftentimes). some domestic dogs even devour their personal "poo". i know it style of feels gross to us as human beings yet dogs are humorous creatures.....gotta love them for what they're and the unconditional love they provide us. i'd not problem too a lot about your canines eating your bunny's "dirt". and that i'm hoping your 4th replaced into brilliant besides. Have a magnificent day.

It would be better if you could give the vegetables to someone who has a pet rabbit, genia pig, rat, or gerbil. Then you would be sure that the food would not spoil before being eaten.

If wild animals are in the area they will find free food very, very quickly...an occasional snack isn't a big deal...but don't feed them daily, they loose their ability and instincts then and rely on handouts!

It probably won't hurt occasionally, but you need to be careful because if the animals get used to finding food there, they may become dependent on it or get to be a nuisance.

I would do it. If you have kids then have them help you. I know my kids love doing things like that.
