Last night I had my thermostat turned off, but noticed that the unit outside the house was still running. I began to fiddle with the thermostat, turned the A/C on and the inside condensor began to arc. I shut the power off and when I checked out the condensor coils noticed that they were frozen up. We haven't been using the A/C so I was surprised to see this. I've let it sit all night and the ice is gone, filters cleaned etc. Do you think it is safe to turn it back on, or should I wait to get a service tech in? Any ideas as to the problem?

It feels like it isn't retracting properly when pulled. There are times I have to pull it MANY times before it will work. It is hooked up to the light switch, so I could use that if I have to, but I like for the fan to run all the time, and only use the light sometimes. Can I/Do I need to spray some WD40 at the inlet?
Thanks!

Hi - my Husband and I just purchased a home and are closing in less than a month now. Last fall I spent a mini-fortune on spring bulbs and though it is now spring, I'd like to at least attempt to take them with me.

My thought was to put them into two window box planters I have and a pot that all have some dirt in them, and let them bloom, if they are going to, then when they finish plant them in our new garden.

Has anyone tried doing something like that? Or have you found a way that worked especially well you could share? What can I expect, if they do not bloom after being moved to a box, might they come back next year?

Thanks to anyone who can help! :)

Preferrably someone who has used something before and knows it works.

But all suggestions are appreciated!

The previous owners of my home planted a rose bush in a very shady spot. I would like to move it to a more sunny location. When is a good time of year for that?

My husband is interested in going to Louisiana to help in the rebuild. He's a flooring contractor, but so far he hasn't been able to find any information on how to go about going down there. Does anyone know if there are there any websites or contact people he can get in touch with?
Thank You.
