I have deep freezer but Its not working as expected .Ice does get blocked but after two three days and it takes time to for water to get freezed. As per my knowledge I have tried increasing temperature up to 7 but no results as such. I have a doubt in this as there are + and - sign given and also numbers from 1-7 . How does it work? Pls help.

How old is it? Freezers are really nothing more than a compressor and a closed loop of tubing that contains a refrigerant. By passing the refrigerant from tubing into a larger area (that causes it expand & consequently drop in pressure), a drop in temperature is achieved.

Your freezer probably needs new freon, or just to be retired.
