This is one of those supply and demand questions. If you live near a farm area, you may be able to get it free. Many large farms use it as a supplemental income. Smaller farms, where I live, give it away. You just have to haul it (and may have to load it also). If you are planning to use it in this years garden, be advised that it really isn't a good idea. Horse manure (because of their digestive system) contains many seeds that you do not want in your garden. Cow manure is better but both should be tilled into a garden at the end of the growing season to allow decomposition and lessen the chance of creating "hot" spots (too high levels of nitrogen and such). I add it to my compost pile also.
