Like it is mentioned above dawn works best. You can spray dawn power dissolve and leave for half hour. Do not put any water and scrub. Wash with water only after scrubbing. This makes it a easy job and takes away most of the buildup.
To Avoid the grease buildup, use a kitchen towel and wipe the pan clean when its hot. This way there will never be any grease buildup. When oil / butter cools on the pan that's when the hard buildup begins.

I am guessing you are talking about the bottom of your pan, when you go to the store look in your dish soap isle and you will find a scrub sorta like comet but meant for pot bottoms, and that usually works if that doesn't work try a little oven cleaner it is the outside of the pan and if you have it turned upside on a piece of paper it wont get on the Teflon.

Some dishwashing liquid and a little Borax or Baking soda mixed, this will be the consistency of softscrub and works like softscrub without the scratching it will remove grease from your teflon frying pan. Good Luck !

throw the pan out. Teflon maybe nonstick and easy to clean but it is also toxic. i would buy cast iron if properly seeded it is very easy to use and nonstick as well.
