I bought three lucky bamboo plants a year ago. One I keep on my desk at work and two I keep at home right next to each other. All 3 are in water with some marbles and the ones at home receive no natural light but have done fine. One of the ones at home has turned yellow and is kind of mushy. The other one is fine. It happened over night. Anyone know what might have happened? There is a few small leafy sprouts about two inches long. Can I cut them off and grow them on thier own?

If they were trees with especially thick branches this would be good.

We have just built an Extension since this has been built I have suffered greatly with Static Electricity. It only takes me walking a few feet across the floor, go to switch a light on in my office and recieve a jolt from the light switch I physicall give off an Electrical charge. This also happens on switching on my computer, i see the arc go between me and the case. It happens more when I have my shoes or Hard soled Slippers on. Dosen't usually happen when in bare feet.

I need the Gallery Glass book on how to faux stained glass ( Tiffany) on a lampshade. They don't make the book anymore. I thought for sure I would find it on the Web. I did see it on a Web sight but I forget the site I was on. If anybody can find it for me I would appreciate it . Thanks

I recently moved into a 50 year old house and found that all of the wiring was done incorrectly(ie. all receptacles in house on one 20 amp breaker, all overhead lights on one 20 amp, and range, laundry room and furnace on one 30 amp breaker.) . I have done some rewiring before but never on this scale. My plan is to put each of the 9 rooms on its own 20 amp breaker with additional ones for range, hot water heater, and future HVAC unit. Is this a sound idea? Also, I have been reading up on the subject and some recommend using 14 gauge non-metallic sheathed cable and some say 12/2 romex. Which is the right one?

This area is also shady. It does not stand in water, but the ground is always damp.

Living in the northern tropics you cannot help but get mould on just about everything in sight only been up here for 12 months and the smell from it - it is worse than an ashtray and I smoke! I mainly have it on the bed in spare room (only noticed it yesterday) and on the shoes (leather, suede, rubber) you name it all the bloody shoes. How do you prevent it (even though it would be hard) living up here its always raining and very humid and how do you remove the bloody sh!t.....

We are contemplating tearing out the entire roof (it's a flat tar and gravel right now) and putting in a new roof with pitches and a different roof line. We'll probably use an average style of roof shingles as the covering. Does anyone know what would be a good estimate of the total labor and materials cost for doing this assuming we had a licensed contractor do the work? The house is around 1,600 square feet on a 5,500 square foot lot.
Thanks!

She has been complaining about a tapping noise for the past few weeks at the same time each (late) night, but when we investigated, all we could find was a neat little pile of sycamore tree leaves...? Does this make any sense or is there a little pixie in our midst? We had thought it might be a death watch beetle, but they don't exist in Scotland.

I live in a home under 2 years old. We have some stress cracks in the house. Still covered under the builder warranty and they have patched up cracks. We also have a 10 year foundation warranty. What i want to know is how common are these cracks? Some people i talk to say yeah we have them this is TX. Others say they didnt get them with a new home. Supposedly this id due to the crazy soil here and the house settling.
